The Climate Change Skeptics Are One Argument Shorter

For those who don't know, the 'hockey stick' graph is one of the cornerstones of data pointing towards recent human induced climate change. The argument stemmed from the fact that the famed graph shown on the left, didn't register a known period of historical cooling called the 'little ice age'. Skeptics used this argument to discount the validity of the whole graph.
Climate scientists have suspected that the reason for that was because of a weakening of the gulf stream which caused a regional cooling trend rather than a global temperature shift. The graph registers average temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere only, so a regional cooling trend wouldn't show up.
The news worthy bit is that scientists recently calculated that the gulf stream was in fact 10% weaker during the 'little ice age' period.
