Santa Cruz, CA or surf city as it's also known, has become home to a gas station that sells biodiesel to it's regular customers. The vegetable oil alternative is being sold for $3.15/gallon which is actually cheaper than the average price for unleaded in the area which comes in at $3.26/gallon.
The gas company, USA Grown Fuel, plans on expanding the fuel alternative to other cities throughout California. Got a diesel? Live in Northern California? Then go get some veggy oil and help reduce your car's impact on us all.
